The Tower of Refuge by Lauren Lynch | Giveaway winner!

Reading The TimeDrifter Series by Lauren Lynch has truly been a joy. I’m so sad that I’ve finished the third book. The beautiful imagery and lively storytelling that I came to know in the first two novels continued in The Tower of Refuge.

Brendan, Anna, and their traveling companions from The Veil of Smoke (book two) leave Pompeii as the destruction falls all around them. Headed toward Cappadocia, the group finds new adventures and new friends along the way. Brendan and Anna struggle with the knowledge that Brendan likely doesn’t have long on his adventure, and he seeks to take advantage of every moment with his friend Anna.

With evil following them all the way, they are determined to hold on to their faith, continue serving others along the way, and follow God’s plan for them.

Just like the previous two books, The Tower of Refuge was great entertainment. Written with the Young Adult age group in mind, this book is enjoyable for adults as well. Readers who enjoy fantasy, time travel, and love C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia would love this series by Lauren Lynch.

The wealth of description and beautiful storytelling will capture the reader and take him/her deeply into the story. The characters are captivating and feel real. The writing is so well done that, as I read, it’s like a movie is playing in my mind.

I strongly recommend The TimeDrifter Series to YA readers. I have enjoyed going through history with the characters, and I’m sad to say goodbye to them. I’m looking forward to more books by Lauren Lynch, and I hope you will read them, too!

Fearing an end to his time with Anna, Brendan attempts to take matters into his own hands, leading a group of newfound friends on a desperate journey across two continents in an attempt to steal time. Despite his efforts to escape a fate he dreads, a truth greater than his will awaits. Join Anna and Brendan for an unforgettable adventure across the Via Egnatia and into ancient Cappadocia in their final confrontation with evil.
