Tens Unit Review

I have long determined that I needed a Tens unit. If you’ve ever read my blog, you know that I suffer from chronic costochondritis. I also have musculoskeletal pain. I’m hypermobile, which means that my joints hyper-extend themselves, which is not a good thing. The pain that I have causes me to brace against it, which makes my muscles in a constant state of soreness, as if my back and chest are regularly beaten with a bat. My ribs hurt, my vertebra in my neck hurt–even my collar bones hurt to the touch. On a daily basis–I kid you not. My normal pain level on a good day is about a 5-6. I have not been diagnosed with EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome), but this scale definitely represents how I feel at times. If I do pushups or lift something heavy, like an overloaded laundry basket, my costochondral pain jumps very quickly to the 11-13 range. More about that in another post, maybe.

I’m not sure who owns this picture–but if you are the one who made it, contact me so I can give you credit. ๐Ÿ™‚

I fidget a lot, move my back around and my neck so that things will pop and give me some temporary relief. I’m never NOT in pain.

That said, I’m an excellent candidate for a Tens unit! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve had one used on me at my chiropractor’s office many times, but have never owned one. So when I had the opportunity to receive one for free in exchange for a review, I pounced on it….gently, of course. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tens unit - Jamis WordsI received this Tens Unit from Easy@Home. I eagerly tried it out, and it is so easy to use. It’s small and lightweight, and even stored in its box, it fits easily in my closet for storage. I can even fit it in the drawers of my headboard if I wanted to, but I don’t want my little one getting it out and playing with it!

I highly recommend this unit for anyone who has muscle pain like I do. Just make sure that you’ve checked with your doctor, chiropractor, or physical therapist before using it to make sure it’s safe for you. If you are pregnant, definitely get the advice of your OB/GYN before use.

I made a video showing what comes in the box and how to use the tens unit. You can watch it below!

Many thanks to the folks at Easy@Home for allowing me to test this product!
