Review of The Perfect Blend

Deanne Durrett

I was given the opportunity to review The Perfect Blend. It is the third novel in the Ordinary Days in Myrtle Hill series, and I had a hard time getting caught up to who was whom. At any rate, the story revolves around Marie, a widow, and Slade, a divorced man. Both Marie and Slade had experienced love with other individuals in the past. Marie was desperate to have a child, and Slade was desperate to have a wife.

The story was fairly well written. There were some things that annoyed me a little bit about the characters. Marie was needy and naive, and Slade just wanted a woman. lol I wanted to shoved my hands into the book and ring both of their necks at times. 😀

Slade and Marie went back and forth with their relationship several times, and they had their share of problems to work through. The author did a good job of keeping the story line on a set track without wavering from the story’s theme.

If you enjoy clean, contemporary romances, give this one a try!
