His Love Endures Forever – a BookSneeze review

His Love Endures Forever, is the third novel in the Land of Canaan series by Beth Wiseman. This is an Amish novel.Danielle Kent is an English woman who falls in love with an Amish man, and soon is carrying his child. With hopes of his leaving the Amish faith like he promised and starting a life with her, Danielle is soon disappointed to learn that not only does the father of her child plan on most assuredly leaving the Amish faith, but he plans on leaving her and his child high and dry as ...

Balanced: Finding Center as a Work-at-Home Mom — a Litfuse review

Balanced is a book that comes straight from a mom who juggles six children, a husband, and a writing career, as well as church duties and support groups. Tricia Goyer, author of some wonderful non-fiction and Christian novels (contemporary, historical, and Amish to name a few), has written this book as a help for other work at home moms (WAHMs). However, you don't have to have a WAHM paying career to appreciate this book. If you're a stay at home mom raising your kids, this will benefit you. This ...

Sufficient, Sustaining Grace

Death of my former pastor a month ago. Little angel babies sick. News of cancer in the community. The sound of a helicopter flying over me, taking a church member to the city hospital. Bad news is everywhere. Everywhere you turn, you find someone is suffering, someone is hurting, someone is just keeping a head above water. It's hard to cope. You wonder why God doesn't just take it all away. Why doesn't He just make everything better? There is a word that came to me this morning. Grace. The ...

Christmas with Strategic Shopping by Candy Foote

I've been given the opportunity to read and review Christmas with Strategic Shopping by Candy Foote (I also reviewed Strategic Shopping). Christmas is usually a time where we all run around like crazy trying to buy gifts, attend and host parties, bake, etc. In Candy's book, she gives excellent tips for how to appropriately gift and food shop while keeping your wallet from feeling empty.I really enjoyed this book. I've always waited till the last minute to do my Christmas shopping, and I ...

Strategic Shopping by Candy Foote

I've been given the opportunity to read and review Candy Foote's Strategic Shopping. As a mom to three boys and a homeschooling mom on a tight budget, I'm always looking for ways to save on my spending. This book was a fantastic help!In addition to divulging helpful tips that Candy has garnered while raising her twelve children, she also has compiled a monthly list of items that you can generally find on sale at your local stores. Also listed in her book are a wealth of websites where you can ...

Hospital Bag – What’s going!

I've hit the 37 week mark! I have no idea when the baby will come. I've yet to have someone from the OB office suggest that I schedule the appointment for my cesarean. I'm going to ask at my next appointment so that hopefully we can at least have a suggested date. Both my previous births have had spontaneous membrane rupture, but that doesn't mean it'll happen again! I've got everything ready for the baby to arrive. I'm quite bored now, and the nesting feeling is still there, but there's really ...

This is a good example for the use of the Oxford (serial) comma. What fun examples can you share?
Clearer prose. Stronger pacing. An elevated read.
I guess some good things must come to an end. Oh, the goofy jokes I’ve made with the message on this mug! Fun times. The message on the #coffeemug is quite fitting, don’t you agree? #peanuts Do you have a well-loved mug?
