Betting on Hope – a BookLook Bloggers review

Hilarious. Heart-tugging. Betting on Hope is part of the Four of Hearts series of novels. Betting on Hope, written by author Debra Clopton, is a keeper. Contemporary Christian is a favorite genre of mine. I thoroughly enjoy a well-written novel with a swirl of romance poured in. Debra weaved a little comedy in as well, which is always appreciated by me. :) Main character Maggie Hope is an advice columnist turned-suddenly-reporter who ends up getting "roped" into interviewing ...

Finding Noah – Movie Review & GIVEAWAY!

Riveting and Emotional, Finding Noah is a documentary film that will intrigue those who are interested in archaeology, Bible history, and adventurous expeditions. I was given the opportunity for an early viewing of this film. Finding Noah is all about finding the Biblical Noah's Ark. Many of the individuals on the quest have gone to Mount Ararat several times, each time unsuccessful in finding the proof that they are looking for. Battling the political powers, the climb, and the bitter ...

Earn Free Products for Reviewing – Post #1

Earn free products? YES! It's a cinch! Every Friday in the month of October, I would like to share with you some of my favorite websites to get freebies in an exchange for a review. Some sites may be points-earning sites that you can exchange for gift cards, others are sharing sites that you can win gift cards from, and others are websites that you can review actual products in exchange for reviews on your blog, amazon, or on other social media sites. Two of my favorite sites to earn free ...

The Biggest Story Review and Giveaway

Beautiful, Intriguing, Captivating are the three words I'd use to describe The Biggest Story, a children's Bible storybook authored by Kevin DeYoung and illustrated by Don Clark. This is a great book for beginner Bible students--a good way to gently introduce children to the Bible stories without overwhelming details. Children as young as five, I believe, who have never been introduced to the Bible before, could appreciate the story and the ...

Review – Taken by Dee Henderson

Glue me to my chair, cuz I don't wanna get up! Those are the words that fit my feelings of Taken by Dee Henderson. Someone insert an IV, because I ain't moving. Unfortunately, I had to put this book down too many times because life required it. My kids required it. SLEEP required it. sigh THIS IS A GOOD BOOK. There, I said it, even in all caps. Yes, I shouted. Dee Henderson is the kind of author, like Sue Grafton for my mom, whose books I am collecting simply because they are that good. And ...

This is a good example for the use of the Oxford (serial) comma. What fun examples can you share?
Clearer prose. Stronger pacing. An elevated read.
I guess some good things must come to an end. Oh, the goofy jokes I’ve made with the message on this mug! Fun times. The message on the #coffeemug is quite fitting, don’t you agree? #peanuts Do you have a well-loved mug?
