Take This Cup by Bodie & Brock Thoene

Review

I have always enjoyed the Thoenes’ books. They are able to take the Scriptures and add fictional aspects that make the original stories come alive. This particular story is written about a young boy who has been born to be the cupbearer of the Lord. It was young Nehemiah’s job to take the chalice cup that was bestowed to him and to clear the years of tarnish and give it to Jesus at just the right time.

Obstacles stand in his way throughout the journey, and Nehemiah finds himself traveling alone. He is forced to rely on individuals that he doesn’t know.

The novel is full of vivid imagery, and it will draw on your heartstrings. I highly recommend this novel to individuals who enjoy a bit of Biblical history.

This is a good example for the use of the Oxford (serial) comma. What fun examples can you share?
Clearer prose. Stronger pacing. An elevated read.
I guess some good things must come to an end. Oh, the goofy jokes I’ve made with the message on this mug! Fun times. The message on the #coffeemug is quite fitting, don’t you agree? #peanuts Do you have a well-loved mug?
